Beginnings
Flamingo Hut Shaved Ice first opened July 10, 2020 in Alvarado, TX. It started when I was taking my then 72 year old dad to look at a car. He saw a snow cone stand for sale and wanted to take a look. Before I knew it, he bought the stand. The rest is history.
Soon after, I got involved and then began running the business. The collage above shows the first two stands we had in Alvarado. On September 3, 2022 the current location opened in Midlothian after we saw the building available and decided to go for it. The picture below is our current location.
We are still family owned, and mostly family operated. With a focus on customers and community, we love serving you all. We have an amazing menu, including our signature Fancy Flavor Specialty Cones, crazy pickles and elotes and specialty fresh-squeezed lemonades.
